Mission Oaks Park Patrol A Service of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department’s Off Duty Program The Mission Oaks Recreation and Park District has contracted with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department to provide park security since 1985. The primary function of the Mission Oaks Park Patrol is to patrol the parks and facilities of the park district and provide law enforcement when and where needed.
Park Patrol hours are coordinated with the Park District staff to provide the best coverage based on a number of factors including the time of day and days when law enforcement in and around our parks is most needed. At times, the park district staff receives information from a concerned resident that a problem exists or the potential for a problem may exist. The district would then contact the Mission Oaks Park Patrol to best determine the course of action on how to deal with the issue.
