Ages: 13-15 (birthdate required for registration)

Program Info:
The Leader in Training Program is designed to provide experience and training to youth in a fun learning environment. Leaders in Training are responsible for assisting our Recreation Leaders in summer programs. Leaders in Training assist in leading games, arts and crafts, sports, music, and other fun activities for approximately 30 – 100 children. In addition, there are several special outings and staff bonding events scheduled throughout the summer.
There are a limited number of Leader-in-training positions available. Leaders in Training are chosen to attend one session only per day. In addition, a 1-hour training session will be held for Leaders in Training each week. Leaders in Training must commit to attending no less than 75% of the camp. If attendance falls below this, participants will be removed from the program and fees will not be refunded.
Summer Camp Cancellations/Credits:
No refunds are issued for any summer camps at Mission Oaks. Instead, a credit voucher will be issued in lieu of a refund of fees, minus a $25 administrative fee per session/class. To request a credit, fill out the online Credit Form, a minimum of three (3) business weeks prior to the camp beginning. Credit vouchers may be redeemed toward the cost of any other district activity (class, program, trip, camp, etc.) within one year of the date originally issued.
- A partial credit (50%) will be given for requests made two weeks prior to camp commencing, minus a $25 administrative fee session/class.
- No credit will be issued for requests made less than two weeks prior to camp commencing.
- No credit will not be issued for non-attendance of program days
